NERD ALERT: Avengers come home in the fall with neato ‘Age of Ultron’ extras

Your fall is about to get a whole bunch more super, nerds.

The blockbuster sequel Avengers: Age of Ultron was a big ol’ hit that spawned killer robots, Science Bros and various thinkpieces about Black Widow. And fans can bring home all that sweet, sweet action with Iron Man, Captain America and the gang when the movie hits on digital HD platforms and the Disney Movies Anywhere app Sept. 8 and then Blu-ray, DVD and the video-on-demand space Oct. 2.

Not excited yet? Peep this exclusive clip that couldn’t be shown before the movie’s theatrical opening — it’s a tad spoiler-y — but now we’ve got it to show you guys: a sequence involving Chris Evans’ Cap and the new Avengers Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) stopping a runaway train and saving innocent bystanders. (You know the Batfleck would approve.).

Bonus features for the Age of Ultron release include deleted scenes, a gag reel, making-of-featurettes and audio commentary. And by the looks of this trailer, there’s gonna be lots of fun stuff like creating Paul Bettany’s Vision and Robert Downey Jr. Mugging for the camera (as you do when you’re freakin’ Iron Man):.
